Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston played host to a group of legends, donors and partners of the Boston Bruins last night.

You may recall in addition to my hosting duties here at the MGM Show, I am also the In-Arena Host with the Bruins.

Last night, I had the pleasure of co-hosting the Black & Gold Gala alongside Judd Sirott, television play-by-play announcer on NESN.

The night began with a cocktail hour and silent auction with a variety of stellar pieces, including autographed items from past and present Bruins as well as other Boston sports icons. From there, guests were invited into the ballroom, greeted by music, a delicious meal and welcoming remarks from Judd and yours truly.

It was an evening of celebrating major milestones for the organization. The team was established on December 1 1924. Bruins fans and honored alumni gathered at TD Garden on December 1 2024 for a special Centennial Game, capping off an 18-month-long celebration.

For 100 years, the team has seen many players, coaches and management, but for the last 50 years it's had consistency in one particular department: ownership. Jeremy Jacobs acquired the team when he was just 35 and has become the longest-tenured singular active owner across the four major pro sports leagues in North America.

NHL Commissioner, Gary Bettman shared a few words, and Jacobs' son Charlie shared his stories and memories, as did Bruins President Cam Neely.

The event was another big fundraiser for the Boston Bruins Foundation, an organization that supports the local community, military charities, and more. Former Bruins captains Johnny Bucyk, Ray Bourque, Zdeno Chara and Patrice Bergeron joined me for a fireside chat of sorts discussing the importance of giving back, a legacy that began under the leadership of Bucyk and continues with Brad Marchand and his teammates.

What an honor it was to take part in such a memorable evening. Check out some of the photos from the night.
