A love of coffee and a passion for books came together on four wheels, creating a one-of-a-kind experience now popping up across the SouthCoast of Massachusetts known as Book n' Brew.

How Book n' Brew Got Its Start

"The Book n' Brew came from a combination of my idea and my dad’s," Heather Medeiros said. "He would talk about how much he would love to own a mobile coffee business, while I dreamed of having a used bookstore café."

The Book n' Brew was born. "It allowed us to bring both of our passions together into one unique experience," Medeiros said.

The concept for the mobile coffee shop/bookstore is pretty simple: sell delicious brew and used books. "I believe reading should be affordable and accessible for everyone," Medeiros said.

The goal is to eventually have a storefront. "A cozy space where people can enjoy coffee and browse affordable books all in one place," she said.

Until that dream becomes reality, they'll continue to operate their mobile business where they offer both hot coffee and cold brew.

What You’ll Find on the Menu

"Our signature BNB Special has quickly become a customer favorite, and the Mocha BNB, our signature drink with added chocolate drizzle, is probably our most popular," Medeiros said.

"In addition to coffee, we also serve refreshing iced tea and lemonade. Strawberry is consistently a top seller," she said.

A Family-Run Business on Wheels

The Book n' Brew Crew consists of Heather and her parents. "Every adventure we go on, we meet amazing people, and are so blessed to get the opportunity to serve the community and to share our love for coffee, books and community," she said.

With a coffee in hand, browse through their book collection which is filled with a variety of genres. "Romance, thrillers and mysteries are popular and of course the children's books are a huge hit all the time," Medeiros said.

The Medeiros family has been welcomed with open arms at each and every stop they've made.

"The response has been incredible," Medeiros said. "We’ve had so much support from the community, and it means everything to us."

Where to Find Book n' Brew

Keeping up with Book n' Brew on social media is the best way to find out where they'll be next. "We pop up at local events, markets, and community gatherings throughout the southeastern Massachusetts area," Medeiros said.

Five Things We Love About Jeff Kinney and His Massachusetts Bookstore

He has sold over 300 million copies of his Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, yet author Jeff Kinney still lives a pretty lowkey life.
The husband and father of two is also a local bookstore owner, running an independent shop in Plainville, MA that is as unlikely as it's name.
