Beyonce Lip-Synched The National Anthem

It seems that Jay-Z's wife took a page from the President's playbook yesterday, Beyoncé did not sing the national anthem live at President Obama's inauguration.

I wish she didn't alter the anthem and sing it the way it was written, but nonetheless millions of viewers around the world were stunned by the singer's spectacular semi-different rendition of the anthem. Only one thing... she was lip-syncing to a pre-recorded backing track.

The Marine Corp Band indicated it was standard procedure to record a backing track and Beyoncé decided shortly before her performance to rely on the studio version rather than risk singing it live on the Capitol.  The unneeded ear-piece removal was just to make it look real. And she would have gotten away with it if it weren't for me, feeling the need to throw her "under the bus" and get to the bottom of what looked to be so easy and care free for her. Come on now..and on a side note, Kelly Clarkson was 100% live! Take that!
