If you've ever seen vague charges on your phone bill, like a monthly subscription that you never signed up for, you could get your cut of $80 million dollars from AT&T.

The company made a settlement of a total $105 million for "cramming" their customers' bill. According to a report by NBC News, these unwanted services might appear as fun facts or tips texted to your phone that you simply delete and ignore, but sneak their way onto your bill.

T-Mobile is also under investigation for the same type of business practices, charging customers $9.99 for services they never asked for, or knowingly authorized.

These companies are getting in trouble for these shady charges now, but you should still question future bills, too. Keep an eye on the bottom line of the bill, and see if the monthly totals go up unexpectedly. They'll usually appear as $4.99 or $9.99 additionally.
