"Forever young, I want to be forever young...." -Alphaville

It's almost inevitable and happens to everyone- That feeling you get when you're age is out of place and substantially older than everyone else in the room. For me, that time and place came about on the night of May 13th, 2016 (go figure, it was a Friday as well).

I was a guest Judge for the 2016 Mr. Westport Contest at my old school Westport High. The theatre was filled with high schoolers and after realizing that I graduated 11 years ago, a little light bulb went off in my head. That light bulb was my brain telling me that I'm "getting old".

Now, don't get me wrong... I know that I'm still young. 28 years of age is still prime, but with maturity, I tend to overthink. My body may be achey every once in a while, but that's only from rough contact sports growing up; Tackling and rough-housing was eventually bound to catch up to me.

I'm not old, but I feel old. Everyone is different and has different views and opinions on what "old" is. The point is, we all go through the change where we have that one moment that stands out in our lives where we simply feel like we're slowing down. At the age of 28, I'm still pushing to maintain a youthful body, spirit and attitude to the best of my ability; Although some days are tougher than others.

So, at what age do YOU or did YOU transition to start to feel "old"?
