Just imagine: One moment you're living your best life, drooling out the window, waiting for your mom to finish pumping gas, and then next, you know you're an overnight celebrity.

That's what happened to one local pup and it's all thanks to Cumberland Farms.

Meet Alfie, the year-and-a-half-old Miniature Labradoodle from Fall River who's cool enough to have his own Instagram page, @TheDoodAlfie. His mom's name is Katie Greene and according to her, Alfie's a "really good boy."

Judging by his Instagram, I'd have to agree with her.

On May 22, Greene was out and about with her nephew at Caddy Shack in Dartmouth, playing a game of mini-golf and hitting the driving range. Alfie came along for the ride. When it was time to leave and drop off her nephew, Greene stopped over at the Wilbur Avenue Cumberland Farms to fill up her gas tank.

"While I was pumping, Alfie stuck his head out the window in the most adorable way," Greene said. "So I said, 'Look at my handsome guy,' grabbed my phone, and snapped a photo."

Greene then uploaded the photo to Alfie's Instagram and tagged Cumberland Farms. Eventually, the social media gurus over at Cumbie's headquarters reached out to Greene and first asked if they could share it on their Instagram story. Then, they came back and asked permission to share it on their main page instead.

From that moment on, Alfie is among many dogs in the world to get a little spotlight from Cumberland Farms, but the only one who made it big from Fall River.

Way to make the SouthCoast proud, Alfie!

Oh, and by the way, Alfie's favorite toy is a little stuffed animal fox named "Foxy Brown" that he has had since the day Greene and her husband brought him into their lives.

A good boy, indeed.

If SouthCoast Dogs Had a Dating App, It Would Look Something Like This

August 26 is International Dog Day, and it got me thinking. What if there was a way for dogs to connect with other dogs in the area to make new friends? Or maybe even find love? Twenty-six dogs living on the SouthCoast sent me their profile picture and bio. Let's see the eligible pups.
