This local boardwalk stretches as far and long as the eyes can see and is worth every step.

Growing up close to the Cape Cod Canal, I got to spend a lot of time on Cape Cod beaches.  Town Neck in Sandwich Ma was one of them.  The best part about our trips to Sandy Neck as kids was walking the boardwalk and stopping half way to jump off into the water for a swim half way to the beach.  It became a tradition every summer for us so when I saw the boardwalk posted on OnlyInYourState.com, I was like; "Hey, I know that boardwalk!"

The Sandwich Boardwalk is only about 30 minutes from the New Bedford area and would be a great day trip for anyone here on the SouthCoast.  Pack a cooler with lunch, bring a change of clothes and enjoy a day on Sandy Neck this summer.

Even if you are not much for the beach, the Sandwich Boardwalk alone would be worth the visit.  It overlooks beautiful Mill Creek with views of the marsh and what feels like miles of beach grass before getting to the ocean.
