Fairhaven Grandmother Has Cute Encounter With Tommy Lee Jones

As the final week approaches for "Finestkind" filming here on the SouthCoast, we have been receiving bits and pieces of Tommy Lee Jones sightings.
While we were broadcasting from Little Village Cafe in Fairhaven on Tuesday, a source from the movie crew confirmed to us that Jones was in town.
That turned out to be true.
Fun 107 received video of a heartwarming interaction between the Academy Award winning-actor and an 89-year-old Fairhaven resident.
Chris Wesoly caught the moment on his iPhone and sent the video to Fun 107.

In the video, Barbara Despres recognizes Jones in the backseat of a silver Chevy pickup truck parked in front of her Main Street home.
"He had been filming on Hedge Street and I wanted to meet him," Despres said plainly.
So. she approached the truck and told Jones that she loved his movies.
"Happy to see you," said Despres.
"I'm happy to see you, too," said Jones.
"I hope Fairhaven has been welcoming for you."
"It certainly has."
"Good! God bless you," she said.
"God bless you, too, ma'am," Jones said with his Texas charm.
The actor had a scruffy look about him. He has been spotted in character outside of Rasputin's in Fairhaven with a similar disheveled style.
"Finestkind," a film written and directed by Academy Award winner and New Bedford native Brian Helgeland, has been described as a SouthCoast-based crime thriller.
Despres' granddaughter, Alison Arruda, was cracking up when she posted the video onto her socials yesterday.
"Oh, just my Nana flirting with Tommy Lee Jones in front of her house while he films his latest movie. #NanaLeeJones"
