According to Newser, a 5-year-old British girl was fined by the city for her lemonade stand. Police officers fined her $195 for selling lemonade without a license.

Seriously?

She's a 5-year-old girl selling lemonade near her home and police felt it appropriate to teach her a lesson and shut it down with a hefty fine! She was selling lemonade to fans attending a festival. According to the report an officer actually came up and read a legal document to Andre Spicer and his daughter.

And they wonder why we fought so hard for our independence!
