In one of the the craziest stories I've seen in a while, 2012 Olympian, Alysia Montaño, ran the 800 meters race, this past week, at 34-weeks pregnant.I couldn't believe it when I saw this story. How crazy is this? I mean, I still can't figure out if I find this super cool or just crazy.

In the E! article, Montaño is quoted as saying that she wanted to be part of the race which was held as part of the U.S. Track and Field Championship, "more than anything." She also spoke about how being given a standing ovation at the end of the race, in which she came in last but was not lapped, really helped solidify for her that she was doing the right thing.

Apparently its good for the baby if the mother stays active, during her pregnancy.  Hey, more power to her.  Even being pregnant, she ran the 800 meters in 2 minutes and 32.13 seconds which is definitely faster than me, and I am not pregnant!
