Young Girl Was Sent Home Due to Apparent ‘Inappropriate’ Outfit
Erica Edgerly took to Facebook after her sister Macy was sent home because her school thought her outfit was inappropriate.
According to Buzzfeed, Macy Edgerly is a 12-grade honor student at Orangefield High School in Texas. She went to school on April 2 and was asked to go home and change due to her clothing. The crazy thing about this story is, she was sent home for wearing leggings! Her shirt was long enough to cover her rear, so there was nothing even remotely inappropriate about her outfit.
Of course, Macy's big sister was extremely angry with the school's decision and defend her sister's ensemble. Erica wrote a long status on her Facebook about how women are being body shamed, saying the school is supporting rape culture and that administration should focus more on their female students getting an education and it has now gone viral!
Today, my sister was sent home from school for wearing the clothes in the picture below. And I'm sorry but I have to...

The status has now over 90,000 shares and Erica is extremely grateful for all the support. What do you think? Personally, I see nothing wrong with this outfit and I think the school is overreacting to what Macy wore. Her sister made a great point when she said Macy is missing out on being educated because the school administration thinks the male students can't keep their thoughts and/or actions in check. Why should Macy have to suffer because of how other students react to her perfectly normal pair of leggings? Well, she shouldn't.
