Technology may be going too far, cause now there's a product that can give parents a heads up when their child's diaper is full of number two.

With my first child expected to arrive in less than a week, I know lots of dirty diapers are in my future. Of course knowing how many will be #1 vs #2 just can't be known...until now.

At an annual technology show in Taiwan recently, engineers from Acer revealed their new device that can let parents know what they'll be changing before they even check the diaper.

It seems pretty simple. Just a small sensor that can sit inside any regular diaper and detects moisture and methane...so pee and potential poo.

And that's not all the device does. Once it's linked to the smartphone app DiaperPie it can also tell you your child's temperature and even detect their sleeping position!

Though DiaperPie isn't a product for sale just yet, Acer firmly believes they will see huge demand for this device and its partner app.

So would you want to get a heads up on a pee or poo filled diaper from your phone? Is this technology we really need?
