Who Would Have Thought a New Dunkin’ Cup Would Make Your Day?

It's the little things in life like the brand new Dunkin' latte cup and lid that give us all the feels we need.

It was a typically busy Monday and I was running on almost empty around 3 p.m. today. I don't usually drink a coffee this late in the afternoon but I really needed me some caffeine if I was going to make it through the rest of the day. So I pulled into the drive-thru at the new NextGen Dunkin' in Fairhaven and ordered a medium hot latte with almond milk, no sugar please. "Coming right up," she said.

When I got to the window, to my surprise she handed me a medium white cup and a newly-shaped white lid which instantly reminded me of a different coffee chain's cup and lid. To say I was excited is an understatement. I was pretty close to heaven as I pulled away from the drive-thru window. I could not wait to snap back that lid and take a sip of my latte in the new Dunkin' hot latte cup and lid.

Does it make a difference, the new cup and lid? One hundred percent, yes. Those old lids they had would sometimes pop off unexpectedly and spill into my cup holders, a massive pet peeve of mine. I also feel a little fancier drinking my latte with this new cup and lid so I hope it's here to stay.

Before you roll your eyes, I know. But I told you at the beginning of this story that it is sometimes the little things in a day that can bring you from zero to a hundred in 10 seconds. And today for me, this was it. Cheers.🙃☕
