What Are The Most Popular Pet Names Of 2012?

As it nears the end of the year, all types of lists are being released about the trends of 2012.  The most popular names for dogs and cats is one of them. 

Max and Bella remain at the top of the "100 most popular dog names."   For boy dogs, Buddy follows Max in popularity, and then it's Rocky, Bailey and Jake.   Some up and coming names on the list include Abe, Aztek, and Chico.

On the most popular female dog list for this year, Molly follows Bella, and then it's Lucy, Maggie and Daisy.   Some other female dog names gaining in popularity are Mia, Luna and Gracie.

What about cats? For the tom cats, Max is number one this year, followed by Sam, Tigger, Tiger and Sooty.   For the girls, Sassy is first on the list, and then it's Misty, Missy, Princess and Samantha.

Moving up the list this year for male cats are Oreo, Charlie and Merlin. Some girl cat names that seem to be gaining in popularity are Pumpkin, Nala and Jingles.  Most of us put a lot of thought into naming our new puppy or kitten.

We realize our pet's name will speak volumes about our own personality, insights, and even sense of humor.
