Fall River Native Joins 'Love Island USA'

Most reality television stars come from big cities and major entertainment hubs, but the latest contestant to enter the villa on Love Island USA has roots right here on the SouthCoast.

Fall River native Chay Nehra recently joined the cast of Love Island USA during the show's "Casa Amor" twist, putting his hometown in the national spotlight. While many viewers are just getting to know him, you may be surprised to learn he has strong ties to the SouthCoast.

According to Peacock, the official streaming home of Love Island USA, Nehra is a 27-year-old chiropractor originally from Fall River who now lives in San Diego, California. Peacock's cast bio identifies Fall River as his hometown, and even pointed out that he's not at all present on social media with only a couple hundred followers. If you ask me, this is a wild card component for any contestant, and rather unorthodox for reality television.

From Fall River to the Villa

While information about Nehra remains somewhat limited, we do know he attended B.M.C. Durfee High School. His appearance on one of television's most popular reality dating shows has sparked plenty of curiosity among SouthCoast residents eager to learn more about their hometown representative.

Nehra entered the competition during Casa Amor, the annual Love Island twist designed to test existing relationships by introducing new contestants into the mix. What We Know So Far

Beyond his career as a chiropractor and his Fall River roots, Nehra appears to have maintained close family ties. Public information indicates he has a brother named Nilin Nehra, though little else has been shared publicly about his family.
