Fall River Cockapoo Suffers Heartbreaking First Year as a Puppy [WET NOSE WEDNESDAY]
Happy Wet Nose Wednesday! New year, new animals to talk about.
There are hundreds of animals on the SouthCoast waiting to get adopted. Thanks to the hard work of local shelters, these animals have a chance at finding loving families.
Each week, we shine a spotlight on one lucky animal. This week, we head to Fall River where a sweet puppy is recovering after a rough first year on Earth.
Meet Scutters. Scutters is a 9-month-old cockapoo weighing around twenty pounds and currently residing at Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River. According to Forever Paws, the poor thing has had a rough start at life.
"She came to us so severely matted that she was having trouble walking, she could barely see, and she was in obvious discomfort," said the shelter. "After a shave down, a good bath, and a haircut, she's like a brand new puppy."

Scutters wants to be friends with everyone and anyone. She loves to play and gets excited whenever she hears a squeaky toy. She's also the ultimate companion and loves being held.
Scutters is still a puppy and will require some training, but the shelter feels she will be great with other dogs, cats, and children at least 8 years old.
Does Scutters sound like a good fit for you and your family? Contact Forever Paws Animal Shelter online and schedule a play date today.
Scutters cannot wait to meet you.
