West Warwick’s Mary Halsey Appears on ‘Ellen’

Here's a sneak peek of Mary Halsey's appearance later today on Ellen.

About six months ago, America fell in love with Mary Halsey from West Warwick when she was caught on video singing some Missy Elliot karaoke at a BBQ in Rhode Island. Ellen's show took notice and invited her to appear on national TV, where she performed the song with Missy herself.

Ellen then sent her to the American Music Awards to cover the event for the show, where she landed a huge interview with Cardi B.

She is going to be back on Ellen this afternoon to talk about how things have been going for her since her original appearance. Apparently, she has been named one of the Top 10 Rhode Islanders of the Year because she brought smiles to millions of people just by being herself.

She reports that she's lost 30 pounds because a "hole that she never could fill" in her life has been filled by her exposure on the Ellen show, which has brought her an enormous amount of love. She says that instead of eating junk food she is filling her days by managing her social media. She also joked that she spent time getting her "hair did."

She'll appear this afternoon at four o'clock on Ellen on WJAR Channel 10 in Providence.
