I know all about losing wedding rings.

My wife warned me about taking mine off. For some reason, I always took it off when I got home from work. I'd place it on the counter until it was time to leave the house again. It was almost like taking off my shoes—shoes off, ring off.

I made sure never to take my ring off outside the house. Except for one place. I hate wearing my ring to CrossFit. The feeling of metal on metal when I pick up a barbell or dumbbell is so uncomfortably cringey—I can't stand it.

About seven or eight years ago, my wife's prediction came true. I lost my wedding ring. Years later, it's still missing. In my mind, it's in one of two places: either stuck somewhere in my central vac system or lost inside CrossFit Dartmouth.

Whenever a wedding ring is found, my ears perk up, hoping that one day it will be mine. Alas, it never is.

That’s why I always try to spread the word when a wedding ring is found. I know what it’s like to lose one, and I can only imagine the joy of having it returned. I hope to experience that feeling someday.

Wedding Ring Found at CrossFit Dartmouth

This week at CrossFit Dartmouth, a gold wedding ring was found. There's no telling how long it's been there. With rubber mats and turf covering the floor, there are countless places for a ring to fall and remain hidden for years.

The gold wedding ring has an engraving that reads: "With love, Amy."

We have no idea whether Amy’s husband is still a member of CrossFit Dartmouth or if he left years ago. We're hoping he somehow sees this article and is reunited with his ring.

Something tells us Amy warned her husband not to take it off.
