So many people on the SouthCoast are silently lending a hand or a few dollars and it's not going unnoticed.

I was late to the Venmo game, but I find myself using it more and more these days. Virtual tipping and sending people money are really helping those in need right now.

If you look at my Venmo payments, you would see I have sent a few dollars to those in need, including tipping some local drag queens for a show they put on virtually on Facebook Live.

Well, it appears that Venmo is taking notice and doing what they call "Venmo It Forward." They have been dropping money into people's Venmo accounts in hopes to continue in the giving spirit. Dropping a few dollars and a kind note into some people's Venmo's accounts looks something like this:

Have you or someone you know received a random infusion of some Venmo cash? I have actually witnessed two friends receive this, so I can confirm this is not a scam. Maybe this can be a little motivation to give a few dollars to those you know are in need.
