If your child has been bitten by the acting bug, this weekend's open call auditions for Trinity Rep's A Christmas Carol could be perfect for them!

Every year Trinity Rep puts on a production of A Christmas Carol...and every year they need kids to play certain roles. This could be your child's year to be a part of the show.

Children between 8 and 12 years old are able to stop in from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. to audition for several roles.

Here's what you need to do to prepare...

1. Prepare the following scene (Trinity Rep's websites says it does not have to be memorized)

2. Prepare 30 seconds or less of your favorite holiday song to be sung without accompaniment.

3. If possible, bring a color photograph of the child auditioning (photos may also be taken during the audition process)

The audition requires no appointment, you can simply show up at Cardi's this Saturday and give it a shot!

Children will be seen in groups of 10, every 10 minutes and should be prepared to play either role 1, 2 or 3 during their audition.

*Parents: There's a lot that goes into this production, so make sure you and your child are prepared by checking out this Child Actor Fact Sheet.
