Fun 107 Stars TLC and Big Boi at the Big E

Millennials and Gen Xers rejoice. The Big E has announced the headliners for this year’s concert lineup. The performance will take place on Friday night, September 19 at the Big E Arena in West Springfield.

TLC and Big Boi to Headline the Big E

If you love the music of TLC and Outkast, this show is for you. TLC will take the stage to perform their biggest hits live, and Big Boi (one half of Outkast) will open the night with a high-energy set.

Between the two acts, there are so many massive hits it may be tough to predict what will make the final set list.

TLC Was a Defining Soundtrack For Fun 107 in the 90s

TLC left its mark on 90s pop and R&B music with four No. 1 Billboard hits including "Creep," "Waterfalls," "No Scrubs," and "Unpretty." With over 65 million albums sold worldwide, TLC remains the best-selling American girl group of all time, just ahead of Destiny’s Child.

Globally, only the Spice Girls have sold more records, with nearly 100 million.

TLC has also earned four Grammy Awards and five MTV Video Music Awards, and was a dominant force in Fun 107’s airplay throughout the decade.

Of course, TLC stands for T-Boz, Left Eye and Chilli. Today, only two of the original members remain. Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes died in a car crash in 2002 while filming a documentary in Honduras.

Big Boi Brings Southern Hip Hop to the Stage

Big Boi, the influential rapper and producer from Atlanta, is best known as one half of the legendary duo Outkast. He has earned two Billboard No. 1 hits ("Hey Ya," "Ms. Jackson") and a No. 2 hit ("The Way You Move"). Outkast holds a special place in Fun 107's heart for 2000s hip hop.
