Tiverton Restaurant Gets a Visit From Viral TikTok Food Stars
It’s not every day that two of the world’s most recognized competitive eaters walk into a local restaurant, but that’s exactly what happened at Pine House Kitchen & Bar, where TikTok sensations Katina Eats Kilos and Randy Santel took on and destroyed the house food challenges.
If you take a ride over to Main Road in Tiverton, Pine House Kitchen has quickly become a beacon for food lovers, casual diners, and now, nationally-known influencers. Owner Jared Machado was blown away to see both Katina and Randy dominate not one, but two, of his restaurant’s food challenges on Thursday, May 22.
“They were so passionate and technical,” Machado said. “They knew exactly what they were doing. From start to finish, it was just… wow.”
Katina Conquers the Cookie Skillet Challenge
Leading off the fight, Katina DeJarnett – a.k.a. Katina Eats Kilos – squared up to the Monster Cookie Skillet Challenge and then some. Not only did she finish the massive team dessert solo (it's normally a two-person challenge), but she also added a second regular cookie skillet to her plate, completing both in just eight minutes and 43 seconds.
“I originally planned to just pose with the second one for photos,” DeJarnett said. “But then I figured, might as well finish both.”

The dessert weighed close to five pounds but DeJarnett, a former bodybuilder from Spokane, Washington, made it look easy.
“It was intense, especially with only 10 minutes to finish it,” she said. “But honestly, I give the flavor a 10 out of 10. Soft, warm, and served with love.”
Randy Santel Takes on 50 Jumbo Wings
Meanwhile, her partner in culinary conquest Randy Santel tackled the restaurant’s 50 Jumbo Wing Challenge. With only 20 minutes on the clock, the former college football lineman from Missouri powered through each spicy, saucy bite.
“The wings were jumbo and the sauce was house-made, it had great flavor and just enough heat,” Santel said. “The time limit was what made it tough, but the wings were juicy, warm and perfect for a challenge.”
Santel, who has completed hundreds of food challenges across the globe, emphasized the importance of technique and timing.
“Dry wings would’ve made it harder, but these were sauced just right," he said. No ranch or blue cheese needed.

More Than Just a Challenge, It's a Destination
Though the weather was rainy thanks to the Nor'Easter that swept the SouthCoast, the vibe inside Pine House was anything but dull.
“It’s cozy here,” Santel said. “If you’re not trying the challenge, grab a pizza or six regular wings. I’m still thinking about ordering one of those cookie skillets for dessert.”
And he did just that.
When asked how they even discovered the spot, DeJarnett said it was the locals who suggested Pine House after they announced their New England tour.
“People kept saying, ‘You have to check out this place in Tiverton,’” she said.
So where are they headed next? Santel is taking on a hot dog challenge in Warwick at Spike's Junkyard Dogs, followed by a visit to Belvedere Polish Deli in Connecticut.
