I don't care how old you are. Chicken tenders will forever be a top-five food on any menu.

While on my way to check out the new Yas Chicken on Thayer Street in Providence, I was unprepared for what the restaurant had to offer. The mighty mom-and-pop hot spot for chicken lovers takes poultry to a completely different level, adding Asian flair and flavor.

In all fairness, if you like chicken in general, you'll have no problem finding something.

I sampled a variety of appetizers, sides and sandwiches until the big guns emerged from the kitchen: the chicken tenders. The basket was filled to the brim with piping-hot, larger-than-life chicken tendies that were big enough to curb any hunger pang.

Each tender had to be about 8 to 9 inches long and extremely girthy.

Yes, I'm still talking about chicken.

My jaw dropped, my mouth began to salivate and my eyes rolled to the back of my head as I took the first bite into the juiciest piece of chicken I'd had in quite some time. The honey mustard was sweet and savory, but the Yas sauce was divine. I would put that on everything.

These chicken baskets come in six pieces for $10.99, 12 pieces for $20.99, and 18 pieces for $29.99. You can choose from buffalo, BBQ, spicy BBQ, sweet & sour, honey mustard and the signature Yas sauce. Before you complain that $11 for a six-piece is too pricey, just know I was full after only two tenders.

Trust me when I say that this chicken will make you say "Yassss" with each bite that you take.

Best of all, right now you can get it for half-price by visiting SeizeTheDeal.com and get $50 to Yas Chicken for just $25.

If you're in the mood for chicken but don't want to head to Providence, here are some other spots around the SouthCoast to enjoy some delicious wings.
