What do you call an all-you-can-eat garlic restaurant? "Buffet the Vampire Slayer". Get it?

Now that the Dad jokes are out of the way, I'm happy to announce a special harvest festival coming to Tiverton that celebrates all things and everything 'garlic'.

On October 15, from 10 AM to 2 PM, the 1st Inaugural Garlic Roast is going down at the Tiverton Town Farm Recreation Area located at 3588 Main Rd. The best part? This event is free for all and family-friendly for all ages. That is if you're a fan of garlic.

Join the garlic celebration and eat everything garlic, but you might want to keep some mints or gum in your pocket. From fresh garlic bulbs for eating and planting to garlic specialty pizzas, breads and empanadas, sauces, jerky, and more, there is something for everybody. Vendors will also be Infusing garlic into unique foods to spice it up a notch.

As of now, all vendor spots are full, but stay tuned for upcoming lectures, prize giveaways, activities for the kids, and much more:

  • Garlic Talk with The Neighborhood Farm - TBA
  • Oyster Specials with Brightside Seafood - TBA
  • Garlic Giveaway Basket - TBA
  • Kids Art & Crafts Table - TBA

Thankfully, it's safe to say that there will be no vampires in attendance.

Stay tuned for more information, as the first inaugural garlic harvest is just weeks away. Oh, and one more "dad joke" for the road: What does garlic do when it gets hot? Answer: It takes its cloves off.
