Each year, JDRF One Walk participants come together to help change the future for the millions of children, adults, and families living with Type I Diabetes. Southern New England is increasingly feeling the effects of this disease and the community is coming together to make a change.

The JDFR One Walk's goal is to make communities aware of the challenges faced and to gain support for those with the disease. Every dollar raised goes towards the cure for Type I Diabetes.

New England Impact BY THE NUMBERS:*

  • For every $1 you give to JDRF locally, $2.55 comes back to MA in local research grants.
  • Based on best available information, JDRF funds approximately 74% of the T1D research taking place at Joslin.
  • Since 1970, JDRF and the U.S. Government have invested $3.5 billion in T1D research, a mere 23% of what this disease costs the U.S. healthcare system annually.
