Boston Celtics President Brad Stevens Clinches NBA Basketball Executive of the Year
As the Boston Celtics trek onward through the playoffs, Brad Stevens is being honored in a big way.
Stevens, the team's president of basketball operations, has been named 2023-2024 NBA Basketball Executive of the Year. This accolade not only recognizes Stevens' exceptional leadership but highlights the collective effort and dedication of the entire Celtics organization.
Previously the Celtics' head coach for eight seasons, Stevens transitioned to president in June 2021. He has led the team to great success, taking it to the top of the NBA.
Reflecting on his recognition, Stevens expressed gratitude for the Celtics' ownership group. He emphasized the pivotal role played by every member of the organization, from players and coaches to front-office staff and support personnel.
"This recognition has everything to do with the team, and nothing to do with any one individual," Stevens said. "Great teams require that everyone in the building is fully committed to each other and moving in one direction."

Boston's dominance on the court has been highlighted by an impressive regular-season record, with a league-best 64-18 overall performance. This season saw the franchise's fourth-highest number of wins ever, cementing its status as a powerful presence in the NBA. The well-rounded performance is proof of Stevens' strategic vision for the team.
The Celtics seem ready to excel in the playoffs, driven by teamwork, commitment to excellence and strong leadership from the top.
