Turkeys Loose In Taunton. How To Win Big & Support Small Business

In an effort to support local businesses, the Downtown Taunton Foundation and Taunton Business Improvement District launched a scavenger hunt on Monday that will have shoppers searching for turkeys all over town.

The Taunton Turkey Scavenger Hunt will run until November 30^th as Taunton shoppers aim to locate over 20 turkeys for chances to win incredible prizes, all while supporting small businesses.

How to Participate in the Scavenger Hunt

Don’t worry, the city of Taunton didn’t release a bunch of turkeys into the city. From November 13^th to November 30^th, the people of Taunton will search for pictures of turkeys in downtown restaurants, bars, and shops, with more than 20 turkeys to find.

“Take pictures of (the turkeys) on your phone, email them to ekelleher@downtowntaunton.org, and for every 5 that you find, we will enter you into a drawing to win a super cool FIRE PIT prize valued at $150!” said the foundation online.

After shopping downtown, email pictures of your receipts through November 30^th for additional entries.

“It’s easy, fun, and supports our local small businesses,” said the foundation.

Taunton’s Turkey Scavenger Hunt will act as the kick-off for Taunton’s Winter Market and Small Business Saturday’s Celebration, an exciting event that will feature live music at Liberty & Union Park, along with vendors, a fire pit with complimentary s’mores, a hot beverage vendor, and cozy space heaters around the patio.
