Who Is John Cardoza?

Before his big break on Broadway, John Cardoza was honing his skills at Boston Conservatory of Music where he received his BFA in Musical Theatre. Upon graduating in 2016, he immersed himself in the world of theater and began performing across the country in shows such as The Old Globe and Godspeed Opera.

Jagged Little Pill

As his resume grew, so did his opportunities, and now, he takes center stage on Broadway as he portrays Young Noah in the musical adaptation of The Notebook.

It’s the love story that so many people have fallen in love with over the years, whether it was through the Sparks novel or the film adaptation starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Cardoza said he feels honored to bring that story to life on the big stage.

Cardoza Is Right at Home on Broadway

“To be on Broadway in a show that I am so passionate about in a role that I am so passionate about is beyond my wildest dreams,” Cardoza told Broadway World.

“Seeing the response from viewers has been really reaffirming and it gets me excited to do the show every night. It’s a show I can do a million times and there is always something new to find in it and I’m really lucky to be here.”

During a recent interview, Cardoza shared the “pinch me” moment he experienced on the opening night of the show.

“I look out into the crowd and I locked eyes with Rose O’Donnell, and sitting next to her was Sarah McLachlan, and I remember saying to myself, ‘I made it,’” Cardoza said with a laugh.

The Notebook tells the story of Allie and Noah, two people from different worlds who share a lifetime of love despite the forces that threaten to pull them apart, in a deeply moving portrait of the enduring power of love.

Experience Cardoza portraying Young Noah in The Notebook on Broadway at Schoenfeld Theatre from now until Nov. 24. Tickets are available online.
