One lucky woman in Taunton turned ten dollars into four million dollars on Monday.

What a way to start the week. What a way to start the day really. A 26-year-old Taunton woman started her Monday by winning four million dollars.

If it was me there would have been some serious freaking out. Maybe some tears of joy, definitely some elevated heart rate and difficulty breathing.

But for Katrina Rodriguez she reportedly kept her cool, went out to her car and later returned to the store and said she won $4 million.

The ticket was bought at Amaro’s convenience store and gas station on Middleboro Avenue and they get $40,000 just for selling the winning ticket.

Rodriguez gets the big bucks though and according to the Massachusetts State Lottery she opted for an annuity pay out, getting $200,000 a year for the next 20 years.

After taxes that is about $142,000, giving her a little over $2.8 million of her $4 million at the end of 20 years.

If she went with the one time payout she would have gotten roughly $2.6 million.

Clearly a smart girl here.

No word on what Rodriguez will do with her winnings, but she's certainly got plenty of money to enjoy the next 20 years.
