The victims of a fatal crash off Route 140 north in Freetown on Tuesday have been identified as 54-year-old Jose Amorin and 70-year-old Marinalva DeLima, both of New Bedford.
The state's transportation agency is announcing detours and lane closures will be put in place on Rt. 24 and Rt. 140 in Taunton this week as work demolishing a series of bridges will take place through June 2027.
MassDOT says that starting at the end of August, traffic patterns will change at the Route 24 - Route 140 interchange in Taunton as three bridges will be demolished and reconstructed.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced it will be performing bridge repairs on Route 140 northbound over Braley Road in New Bedford Sunday.
