Taco Bell Just Introduced the Perfect Drink For Fall
As summer winds to an end, and all the fairs and carnivals have backed up and headed south. Yet the apple orchards around the SouthCoast still aren’t quite ready to have you come and pick their fruits. So what’s a caramel apple fan to do in the interim?
It’s a mixture of sweet caramel sauce and tangy green apple frozen slush. A 16-ounce Caramel Apple Freeze has 190 calories and 42 grams of sugar, so it’s probably best reserved as a special treat.
Besides, we're not exactly sure how one would pair with a 7-Layer Burrito or a Crunchwrap Supreme.
And the fact that it's a "freeze" makes it the perfect fit for the period between summer and fall, when you're ready for autumn flavors even though it still may be warm enough for a frozen beverage.
Fun 107 called over to the Taco Bell on Alden Road in Fairhaven to find out if they were participating in the promotion, and how much one of these cool freezes would set you back. Not only do they have them, but they’re just $2.49, and the person who answered the phone said that every weekday during Taco Bell’s “Happy Hour” (actually from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.), they’re just $1 each.
He also said that even though they’ve only been available a couple of days, they’re already selling like crazy.
“People love their caramel,” he said.
And at least it's an autumn treat that doesn't involve pumpkin spice!
But hurry—the Caramel Apple Freeze is only available for a limited time. Just like fall itself (sigh).
