Swansea's Acores Family Restaurant has found a new home and the Portuguese food will start being served up this week.

The Acores Family had been open just under 10 months and serving out of St. John's Athletic Club, when it found the perfect location just minutes away on Ocean Grove.

The restaurant had already become a community favorite, serving up authentic Portuguese dishes, but now with more room and a view it's sure to win us all over.

In a recent Facebook post, the restaurant shared the news that it will be opening on Thursday, January 16, just in time for lunch.

We spoke with owner Sara Pagan, who shared with us just how quickly this all came together.

"The location has been in the works for only about two months now," she said.

She told us a key difference in the new location will be having outdoor dining available, with a view that looks like this:

Pagan said right now they are still awaiting some permits for liquor and live entertainment, but once secure, the new spot will feature a full bar and showcase live local entertainment.

It's an exciting time for the Mozambique and so many of our favorite Portuguese dishes. Just take a look at their Mozambique. I'm not drooling as a write this, I swear.

Pagan said that this new space will allow for so many more hosting opportunities.

"We will be providing catering, family-style event menu, and also we are more than happy to accommodate our customers in special occasions like weddings, first communions, birthdays, etc.," she said.

By the way, you have to check out their menu. I want one of everything, please.
