You've probably heard the famous saying about March... "in like a lion, out like a lamb." As the SouthCoast nears the end of the month and prepares for spring, that lamb analogy is really starting to make sense.

The first day of spring this year arrives on Saturday, March 20, and the first weekend of the new season is looking bright and warm, at least compared to the chilly winter temperatures we have become accustomed to the last few months.

The National Weather Service reports that Saturday will start off cool with some light, calm wind that will quickly subside as the skies clear and temperatures climb to a high around 47 on the SouthCoast. Sunday will be warmer still with a high near 52, and the sun will stick around throughout the rest of our weekend. The SouthCoast can expect partly sunny skies and highs in the low 50s for the rest of the week, so get ready to soak it up!

After a long winter in the Northeast, 50-degree weather always seems like the perfect time to break out the flip-flops and shorts, despite how crazy it actually may be. Looking for a place to spend some time this weekend and enjoy the beautiful weather? Head to one these destinations on the SouthCoast and get ready to soak up those sun rays, baby! Just don't forget the sunscreen 😊
