SouthCoast Snow Day Fun
The weekend snowfall had many on the SouthCoast layering up, shoveling and enjoying some family fun. From snow angels to making snowmen, the simple pleasures of a New England snowfall are cherished by many.
It's been a while since we've been able to enjoy a good snow day. Between distance learning days or the timing of the storms, going outside to play in the fresh powder isn't always possible.
I'm about to age myself here. In my day, we saw far more snow, distance learning wasn't a thing, there were no iPad and wintertime meant sledding, shoveling and turning on the radio in the morning to hear if you had a delay or school cancellation.

Now that I'm older and have kids, a snow day during the week becomes inconvenient, honestly. The clearing of the cars, the rearranging of the schedules if the kids don't have school and finally coming home after a work day (our day wasn't cancelled) with the sun going down and dinner needing to be made.
A waste of a snow day, in my opinion, so when we get a well-timed weekend storm, I'm all for it.
My kids we thrilled to wake up to the snow-covered yard, but their excitement was nothing compared to that of the dogs. If you're familiar with the term "the zoomies," that's exactly what my dogs had. They ran around like maniacs, caught snowballs midair and eventually conked out on the couch after a long day of play.
Needless to say, Sunday snow days are the best.
