SouthCoast High Schools Changing Thanksgiving Football Schedule

Ahead of what is expected to be record lows, some SouthCoast high schools have decided to change their traditional 10 a.m. Thanksgiving morning kickoffs to avoid the extreme cold.

Athletic directors scrambled Tuesday to make plans to work around the arctic blast that is scheduled to descend upon the SouthCoast on Thursday. The cold is expected to set new record lows for Thanksgiving Day.

Here is what we know at this time:

Fairhaven at Dartmouth remains Thursday morning at 10 a.m.

The Diman Regional Voc Tech vs. GNB Voc-Tech game will be moved to Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Diman.

The Bishop Stang game at Bishop Feehan has been moved to Wednesday at 5 p.m.

The Old Rochester game at Appponequet has been moved to Wednesday at 5 p..m.

The Bourne game at Wareham will now kick off Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Dighton Rehobeth will now host Seekonk Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The New Bedford High School game against their rival, Durfee, will remain at 10:15 a.m. in New Bedford on Thursday.
