Get ready for the first real winter storm of the season on Thursday.

ABC6 meteorologist Jeff Desnoyers says the SouthCoast is currently under a Winter Storm Watch, but he wouldn't be surprised if that is upgraded in the coming hours, as it appears the region will be dealing with high wind gusts, blowing and drifting snow, and the first significant accumulation of the winter season.

Current estimates call for 6-10 inches of snow for our area.
