Shopping for My Least Favorite Holiday Already
Most of you read the title of this post and thought I was talking about Christmas shopping, right? Well, you would be wrong.
I actually shop for Christmas year-round because I usually get gifts that remind me of people. No, the holiday I'm talking about is Halloween.
It's my least favorite holiday. I know, how could it be? It's fun to dress up and go out and trick or treat, or if you are of legal drinking age, go out and party. Honestly, I think I was traumatized as a young Jackson and never really got over whatever happened. I guess you could call me the Scrooge of Halloween.
With that being said, I usually wait until the day before, or sometimes I'll go the week before and grab a costume. Not this year, though; I have already started adding costumes on Amazon to my cart. I haven't purchased any yet but I have options.
I know there are some of you that already know and have your costume together – you, my friends, are the die-hard Halloween fans and I aspire to be more like you. Until then, I think this is a step in the right direction for me to better appreciate this holiday more.
How many of you have already got your costume or at least have already shopped and decided what you are going to be this year?
Now to figure out how we celebrate. Maybe some Zoom Halloween costume contests? I'll get back to you on that.
