As the prices of apartments continue to rise on the SouthCoast, here's an idea inspired by Maddie's article about the guy who secretly lived in the Providence Place Mall for four years before he was discovered.

While it didn't end well for the man (he was banned for life from the mall) the whole mall story got us thinking: if you could have a secret apartment somewhere on the SouthCoast, where would it be?

Now, we're certainly not suggesting that you take the same route as the Providence man, but it might be fun to dream about different places on the SouthCoast that might make a great spot for a secret apartment.

Hey, if a guy could get away with living in Providence Place for four years, where else might be a great spot? The first place I thought of was the New Bedford-Fairhaven Bridge. While it might get cramped in there with the workers, the views would be awesome.

Stephanie Limpus told us that when she was little, her dad used to tell her that a family lived in the house on top of the bridge. He said they were in charge of opening and closing it every time a boat needed to get through. That might make living there a little more than you bargained for.

Here are some of the other great spots that the Michael and Maddie audience came up with, and some of them are places we'd really want to live. Considering just how much some SouthCoast apartments go for, these don't seem like a bad idea.

We can't stop talking about the guy who secretly lived at the Providence Place Mall for FOUR YEARS! It got us thinking: if you could have a secret apartment somewhere on the SouthCoast, where would it be?
