Road Trip Worthy: Simmons Cafe and Market in Little Compton
Even after living in Westport my whole life, I'd never been to Simmons Cafe and Market until about a month ago...and it's amazing!
My boyfriend took me somewhere new for lunch about a month ago and I can't get over how great Simmons Cafe is. We went for a lunch again yesterday and after taking a closer look at the menu, it seriously has something for everyone. Its cafe is a grab-and-go style but they do have tables inside and outside so you can sit and eat.
They serve fresh-made sandwiches and salads, a variety of locally sourced dishes like chickpea salad, pizzas, meat pockets, and homemade desserts. My boyfriend has gotten the cuban sandwich a couple times and said it was amazing and I've had the Cape Cod chicken salad and some dessert items - all of which have been super yummy.
In addition to their cafe, they have a full market with farm fresh eggs, milk, fruits, snacks and veggies and even fresh-cut flowers.
And don't fret if you are gluten-free, vegetarian, or vegan, Simmons has a full line of products so you can enjoy a grab-and-go lunch or dinner.
Oh, and they serve Acushnet Creamery ice cream!
