Long time Red Sox Broadcaster Jerry Remy announced on NESN Wednesday night, that he had suffered a relapse with his lung cancer and was treated with radiation during spring training. The former player had lung cancer 2 years ago, and was treated. He also suffered from depression in which he admits was "harder to overcome than the cancer was" This time around Remy says he will not miss any games, and is hopeful the radiation treatments have taken care of the cancer which was once again found in his lungs. Remy said he will continue to be checked to stay ahead of any possible relapse and said what is important is "early detection"  Remy also signed a new multi year deal with NESN.
