Calling all Harry Potter fans: if you’ve ever wondered what it would feel like to mix baseball with a little bit of wizardry, then I have just the event for you.

Grab your wand, throw on your robe and get ready, because Harry Potter Day is taking over Fenway Park this Saturday, May 2.

First introduced in 2021, Harry Potter Night at Fenway quickly became a yearly tradition, blending the magic of of the story with the energy of a live game. This year, the Boston Red Sox will host the Minnesota Twins for a 4:10 p.m. first pitch, and yes, the wizarding world will be along for the ride.

A Jersey That Chooses You

One of the biggest draws of the day is the exclusive Hogwarts-themed jerseys, featuring all four houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.

If you grab a standard theme ticket, you’ll receive a randomized jersey and be “sorted” into your house when you arrive. It’s all part of the fun, but keep in mind these are first-come, first-served, so be sure to get there earlier if you’re hoping to rep your house.

For fans who want a little more control (and a little more magic), the VIP package lets you choose your house jersey ahead of time. It also includes a special “25 Years of Magic” Harry Potter bomber jacket and early access to the wizard-themed festivities inside the park.

More Than Just One Magical Night

Harry Potter Day is just one of many themed events the Red Sox have lined up this season. Right around the corner is Star Wars Day, Country Music Night, Educator Appreciation, Nurse Night, and even Pokémon Go Night as the season rolls into the summer months. It’s a full calendar designed to bring something different to the ballpark experience.

Don’t Miss Your Chance to Be Sorted

Tickets for Harry Potter Day are available now through the Red Sox website, with prices ranging from $57.25 to $141.75 for standard tickets and $87.25 to $168.75 for VIP packages.

So whether you’re a die-hard baseball fan, a lifelong "Potterhead," or just someone looking for a fun night out, let the sorting hat do its thing.
