WooSox Opening Day 2026 Will Feature Roger Clemens Meet-and-Greet
The signs of spring are here. Flowers are popping out of the ground, sunsets are getting later, and baseball season is beginning.
The Worcester Red Sox are gearing up for Opening Day 2026 with a whole weekend of food, fun and even fireworks.
The highlight, however, has got to be a meet and greet with the one, the only, Roger Clemens.
Meet Roger Clemens at Polar Park
Growing up in the '90s, Clemens was all the rage. Fans knew him by his nickname "Rocket" throughout his career. My family and I watched him come up through Pawtucket with the PawSox and continue to shine on the mound in Boston.

Oh, and who could forget his famous Roger Clemens' Flame Roasted Chicken? The short-lived restaurant chain had a location in my hometown and I remember loving it.
If you were a fan of Clemens (the chicken and/or the pitcher), you'll want to be at the WooSox game on Friday, March 27 for the chance to shake Rocket's hand.

They call it a Shake & Take. Shake Clemens' hand and take a photo with the seven-time Cy Young Award winner. The event will take place in the Sherwood's Diner during innings 3-6.
No autographs will be allowed.
Meeting Clemens is just the beginning of Opening Weekend at Worcester's Polar Park.

On Saturday, March 28, Royal Wooters members will have the opportunity to meet the 2026 Worcester Red Sox. This event is exclusive to members, but there's always time to sign up and become a member.
A sunset catch on the field will follow.
Family-Friendly Activities at Opening Weekend
To wrap up the weekend on Sunday, March 29, dogs can join in on the fun with the first of many Bark in the Park events. Owners and pups can take part in a pregame doggie parade before enjoying the game together.
Additionally, as is the case at every Sunday game (weather depending), fans of all ages are able to run the bases after the game.
