Rave Review For Massachusetts Museum Being Most Kid-Friendly
If exploring a historic home, walking pathways of gorgeous waterfront gardens and learning the history of a huge Cape Cod estate sounds like something you need to do without your kids, one mom says think again.
An Ipswich estate with plenty of pop culture screen time and a history of high profile outdoor concerts also happens to offer what one mom described as the only "child specific tour" she has ever seen.
Castle Hill on the Crane Estate lets children explore this nearly 100-year-old, 56,881 square foot home like no one else. Plus tickets start at just $10 per person.
The Cat's Meow Tour at Castle Hill
Interesting young children in learning the history of a grand, former home is not at all easy. But according to Kelsey Pomeroy, a Midwest mom who travels the world with her kids and posts about the adventures, Castle Hill is doing just that.
She recently shared her trip to Cape Cod and raved about the Cat's Meow Tour at Castle Hill. She even called it the only "child specific tour" she has ever seen, anywhere she's ever traveled.

Clearly this tour is unique - so what does it entail?
Castle Hill is part of the 2,100 acre Crane Estate, which has been run by The Trustees of Reservations since 1949. Among the touts The Trustees offer is the imagination driven Cat's Meow Tour, aimed at children ages 3-8.
On this tour, kids pretend it in 1929 and they are visiting the Crane family at their summer home in Ipswich. The home happens to be so big that Mrs. Crane's cat has gone missing somewhere inside and she needs your child's help to find it.
The tour takes about 40 minutes during which you explore several rooms searching for the cat, make flower displays for the party and even have time for a kid costume change and a grand entrance down the home's main staircase for the party.

So if a trip to Cape Cod after the main tourist season is in the cards for you this fall, add a trip to Castle Hill to your must see list.
Sounds like an ideal place to take the little ones, while also enjoying yourself.
