Moms, Dad's- gather the kids and make your way over to Westport, an adventure lies ahead.

It's official- the Westport Land Conservation Trust is hosting the Westport Woods Grand Opening this Saturday from 11 AM - 2 PM at the former St. Vincent De Paul Camp located at 573 Adamsville Rd in Westport.

With sunny skies and warm weather in the forecast, this event is the ideal weekend activity for kids and adults alike.

There will be a brief speaking program scheduled at 11:30 AM and entertainment for all ages will be available. Visitors of the park can expect to hear music by the Spindle Rock River Rats and Steven Pelland. Children will have the option to get their faces painted, participate in a nature scavenger hunt, take a storybook walk, and so much more.

Although this event will be happening around lunch-time, there will be food on site during the festivities so come hungry. As a bonus, Simmons Market and Gray's Daily Grind will be selling some of their customers favorite products and demonstrations of sorts will be put on by Gray's Grist Mill. What more could you want?
