Petition To Save The Birthday Cake Oreos

OK. Don't judge me. I just got back from the grocery store. My wife was unloading the bags and said, "You realize you have a problem, right? This is a sign of a person who is crying out for help." OK...so I just bought NINE boxes of Birthday Cake Oreos at the grocery store. So what? A person could have worse vices.

She's actually right. I do have a serious problem. The problem is that my love affair with Birthday Cake Oreos is quickly coming to an end, and I'm clearly not ready to stop the relationship. Unfortunately for me, the cookies were a special, limited time only creation in celebration of Oreo's 100th birthday in 2012. As we look towards turning the calendar to December, these cookies are becoming tougher and tougher to find. Panic is setting in. So, when I'm lucky enough to stumble upon them in the grocery store, there's only one thing to do. I clear the shelves. I buy as many boxes as I can get my hands on.

I always try to use my influence as a member of the media for only the most important of issues. That is why, after careful consideration, I have decided to throw my weight behind a full blown effort to save the Birthday Cake Oreos.
