One Major Jets Flaw Could Keep them Grounded Against the Patriots

Patriots fans who have been sitting on their hands for the past 4 years finally have things to cheer about. There's something about this Patriots team that is likeable. It probably has something to do with the fact that our expectations were pretty low entering the season, but these 2024 Patriots seem to have some heart.

"I think what Patriots fans are really satisfied with is the fact that we've watched two really competitive football games out of this team over the first couple of weeks. I think it's a product where people are saying, 'I'm really enjoying watching the Pats again,' I think that's been absent the first couple of years. They're just more competitive. They're actually in the games."

Coit says the most encouraging thing, however, is the fact that the Patriots have bought into head coach Jerod Mayo. The players seem to back Mayo. They like what he's preaching and they want to play hard for him.

Aaron Rodgers is the old gunslinger, now. Watch for Rodgers to be feeding the ball to young Garrett Wilson and "every fantasy owner knows running back Breece Hall," said Coit. However, Coit says it's the Jets inability to stop the run which could allow the Patriots to stay in the game tonight. It's their one flaw, and it could translate into a big night for Rhamondre Stevenson. The burly but fast running back has been a workhorse so far this season. The Patriots have relied heavily on their run game, which might just be the perfect matchup to keep the Jets grounded in New Jersey.
