NORTH ATTLEBORO (WBSM) — A Hull man was killed Sunday morning after he was struck and killed by a motor vehicle.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office has identified the victim as Daniel Stober, 62, of Hull.

North Attleboro Police were called to the area of 178 Commonwealth Avenue at about 9:24 a.m. on August 11 for a reported motor vehicle vs. pedestrian incident.

First responders located Stober and rushed him to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was then medflighted to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 11:16 a.m.

The D.A.’s Office said Stober was struck by a 2013 GMC Acadia driven by a 24-year-old Attleboro man. The driver of the Acadia remained on scene and attempted to provide aid to Stober. The D.A.’s Office said he was interviewed by police and was not placed under arrest at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
