Well, we now know what our playoff-bound football New England Patriots are chowing down on before they hit the gridiron, and it's a hefty menu.

What's on the Menu?

Prior to an 8:20 p.m. game, players have a smorgasbord of options to choose from. In a recent Facebook post, the organization shared every item offered to Pats players on game day.

Three meals are offered to the athletes, starting with breakfast. Brace yourself, this is just the beginning.

Breakfast Options

Served 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., the breakfast menu features:

  • Scrambled eggs
  • Scrambled egg whites (with avocado on the side)
  • Bacon
  • Sausage
  • English muffins
  • Breakfast sandwiches
  • Shredded hashbrowns
  • White rice (seems random to me, but hey, whatever works)
  • Pancakes
  • Vegan pancakes
  • French toast (plus syrup)
  • Grits
  • Oatmeal
  • Four types of bread
  • Bagels
  • Peanut butter, jelly, almond butter
  • Milk
  • Cereal
  • Yogurt
  • Fruit bar and smoothie station
  • Waffle station
  • Omelet station (or any eggs to order)

Midday Snacks Available

Served 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., these options are available between breakfast and the team's pre-game meal:

  • Beef Burritos
  • Grilled chicken over rice
  • Barbeque fried chicken tenders over rice
  • Grilled chicken Caesar wraps
  • Tortilla chips with salsa, sour cream and guacamole
  • Salad bar with veggies, green, egg salad, tuna salad, grilled chicken, beans, etc.

Pre-Game Meal Menu

For the New England Patriots, the pre-game meal begins at 2:45 p.m. and stays open until the last bus leaves for the stadium at 5:45 p.m.

Here is an example of an average gameday offering:

    • Broccoli
    • Teriyaki salmon
    • Teriyaki chicken
    • Medium and well done filets
    • Potato wedges
    • Linguine (marinara sauce and meat sauce available)
    • Chicken broccoli ziti
    • Cornbread
    • Dinner rolls
    • Turkey subs to take on-the-go
    • Salad bar
    • Snack station
    • Fruit station (with the option to make their own shakes)

In addition to the many options offered, there are always hot and cold beverages available all day. Phew! I feel full just reading the menu.
