The New Bedford Police have announced a new bullying tip line that will be targeted to students at New Bedford Public Schools.  According to the New Bedford police, their school resource officers have been interested in launching the hotline for some time, and the NBPD has decided to give it a try.  The effort is being led by Sgt. Manny Ortega.

Anyone who has concerns about a student they feel is being bullied is urged to call (508) 991-6300 ext. 79475.  All calls will remain anonymous.

The new bullying tip line is mostly geared towards kids, but any tips that are not school related will be directed to the appropriate precinct.

New Bedford Police say they will use the bullying tip line to guage some of the problems that have occurred in the schools.

The Bullying Tipline is (508) 991-6300 ext. 79475
