This weekend at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester, 24 contestants will compete for the title of Miss Massachusetts.  Among them are four young ladies from the SouthCoast.

Meet the four local stars competing to be crowned as the 83rd Miss Massachusetts.

Mya Leonardo — Miss Southeastern Massachusetts

Miss Southeastern Massachusetts, 20-year-old Mya Leonardo, is a Dartmouth native.  Mya graduated from Dartmouth High School in 2021 and is studying biology at Northeastern University.  For the talent portion of the Miss Massachusetts competition, she will showcase her abilities in dance.  Mya's Community Service Initiative is "Smart Smiles: Empowering the World One Smile at a Time.”

Ericka Correia — Miss Mayflower

Miss Mayflower is 19-year-old Ericka Correia from East Freetown. For the competition's talent portion, Ericka will perform a classical jazz dance to Michael Buble's version of "How Sweet It Is."  Her Community Service Initiative is "Life Changing Moments Begin with Mentoring.”

Tori Kalisz — Miss New Bedford

Miss New Bedford is 21-year-old Tori Kalisz, an Acushnet native.  She graduated from Fairhaven High School in 2020, and has since gone on to pursue a degree in Health Sciences from Bridgewater State University.  For the talent portion of the competition, she will be singing "Mama Knows Best."  Tori's Community Service Initiative is “Rise Up: You are Stronger than You Think.”
